Carrasco & Geñoso (formerly Carrasco & Carrasco Law Office) is a law office in Cagayan de Oro City with concentrated practice areas in litigation (Civil & Criminal), Labor, Land Titles and Deeds, Election, and General Corporate Practice. It has a branch office in Talakag, Bukidnon.
Carrasco & Geñoso was originally founded in 1984 by the late Mariano B. Carrasco, a UP Law graduate and 11th placer in the 1984 bar exams, together with his wife and now Senior Partner, Evangeline T. Carrasco. It has been providing a competent, dedicated, and expert legal assistance in litigation and dispute resolution, general corporate and commercial law, land disputes/cases and titling, labor and employment laws, family law, adoption law, environmental law, election law, taxation, estate planning, naturalization and immigration laws, adoption law, and administrative law.
With the junior partners, Angeline Marie T. Carrasco-Geñoso and Al An E. Geñoso, the law office is now expanding its practice areas in energy law, arbitration and dispute resolution, education law, government biddings, freight forwarding, logistics and customs practice, and intellectual property law.
Angeline Marie T. Carrasco-Geñoso has been in practice for 13 years. She used to be a litigation lawyer at Makati-based law firm, Quial Ginez Beltran & Yu, before she joined Carrasco & Geñoso. She continues to manage the litigation area of the law office.
Al An E. Geñoso is likewise a practicing lawyer for 13 years. He used to be a Corporate Attorney and litigator in Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) and has been well-trained in energy law practice. In his stint with PSALM, he appeared before the Energy Regulatory Commission and appeared before various courts in Metro Manila for energy-related cases against big companies in the Philippines. He continues to appear for PSALM as independent contractor counsel for cases in Marawi City. He is also very knowledgeable with government bidding (procurement and disposal) procedures due to his exposure as a member of the Technical Working Group in various bidding jobs in PSALM, especially his experience in the crafting of the privatization procedures for PSALM generating assets. Likewise, Al has had litigation experience in various quasi-judicial or administrative agencies such as the CSC, COA, NCIP, and Office of the Ombudsman.
